Brunton’s Solo 3.4 battery reboots almost anything that powers off USB—cameras, PDAs, GPS units—and charges via wall outlet, vehicle port, or sunlight. The 5.2-ouncer cranks out 5.5 volts (it fueled my iPhone nine times before drying up) and, best of all, fits in the palm of your hand ($65).

Very cool! I was about to buy the Richard Solo iPhone extra battery, but this battery’s ability to work with other devices for roughly the same cost makes it more useful.

I have heard that many people have problems with their iPhone battery. It run down very fast and you have to charge it again very often. Even till 2-3 times per day. It is really irritating. This device looks better. Thank you for this post. :)

I like solar panels… you drape them on your pack during the day to charge your device’s batteries, then use your device at night.
